Fit
Measure your own head, at home
Every Kallov Hair is built in a cap size, so the measurements matter more here than they would anywhere else. Six numbers, a soft tape, and ten minutes. The diagram below is the whole method.
Made to order. Made to fit.

Measuring well
Five things that decide whether the number is right
-
Start with the hair flat
Braid down, wrap, or flatten your natural hair the way it will sit under the piece before you pick up the tape. Measuring over loose hair gives you a cap that fits your hairstyle rather than your head.
-
Use a soft tape, not a string
A dressmaker's tape follows the curve of the skull. String stretches and a ruler cannot bend, and both of them will hand you a number that is a quarter inch out in the direction you will feel all day.
-
Snug, never tight
The tape should sit against the scalp without pressing into it. If you pull, you will build a cap that grips. Take each measurement twice and use the second number.
-
Follow the diagram in order
Work through the six measurements exactly as they appear above rather than jumping between them. They are sequenced so that each one gives you the landmark for the next.
-
Write them down and send them
Record all six in inches and keep them somewhere you can find them again. Send them with your order, or bring them to a consultation and we will check them against the pattern before anything is built.
If you are between sizes
Do not round. Tell us.
Small, medium and large cover most heads. They do not cover every head, and pretending otherwise is how people end up with a piece they cannot wear for a full day.
If your numbers land between two sizes, or if one measurement disagrees with the rest, write to us before you order. We will either tell you which size to take or tell you honestly that your head wants a bespoke cap.
There is no charge for asking and no pressure attached to the answer.
All sales are final, which is exactly why this conversation happens first.
Precision first. Beauty follows.
