The making is only half the story. Before a piece reaches you it spends hours with one of our Atlanta artists, and we would rather tell you her name than let a logo take the credit.

Why we name them
Most houses hide the atelier
The craft gets credited to a logo and the people who did it stay anonymous. That is a strange way to treat hands this skilled.
Ours started as a mother and daughter at one sewing machine. The cap comes out of that room already correct, and then the piece goes somewhere else entirely to be finished. Knots lifted until they disappear into the lace. A hairline plucked strand by strand until it reads as grown rather than placed. Then the piece is styled into the look it was named for.
That work is the difference between a wig that photographs well and one that survives being looked at closely. It has a name attached to it here.

Every color that leaves this house, from an icy blonde in The Storm Collection to the whole of The Color Vault, is mixed and laid by Honeybee’s hands and no one else’s. Honeybee Salon & Spa is a modern, eco-conscious salon in Woodstock, Georgia, opened in 2020 by Tiffany Davis and Stephanie Dippolito. It was built on a simple idea: beauty that is elevated and personal at the same time, creativity and sustainability and real care for the client held together in one warm, boutique-sized room. The two of them met in 2014, working side by side as stylists, and the friendship that started on that salon floor is the reason the salon exists. After years behind the chair they wanted something more intentional than the salon they had been handed: a place where the result is beautiful and the person leaves better than she arrived. Modern and alternative haircuts, custom color, blonding and spa treatments are the salon’s work. They also know wigs, which is rarer in a salon than it should be, and it is why they are the only colorists Kallov trusts with raw hair.
Tiffany Davis

Tiffany has been a force in hair since 2010, and she came to it by way of the stage. The interest began in a high school drama club, where she found she loved hair and makeup most when they had to hold up under lights, and it followed her behind the chair. In 2012 she worked with the Atlanta Opera on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and that production opened the door to professional theater. She then spent four years assisting the renowned wig master Richard “Rick” Jarvie, production after production, refining wig styling, makeup artistry and precision hair design until a piece could be looked at closely from the front row and still read as grown. In 2016 she took that craft to New York as a swing hairstylist on The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway, where the standard of styling is as high as it gets and there is no second take.
When she came home to Georgia she wanted a salon that was more inclusive and more centered on the person in the chair than the ones she had known, and in 2020 she co-founded Honeybee with Stephanie, her friend of many years. She is the salon’s full-time Bee Keeper. Creative color, alternative cuts and the kind of personalized transformation that changes how a woman carries herself are her signature, and she mentors the next generation of stylists in a room built to be welcoming and supportive. For Kallov, her years with Rick Jarvie are the point: she has handled more wigs under more scrutiny than almost any salon colorist in the state.
Stephanie Dippolito
Specialty: Haircuts and styling, blonding, vivid color, color correction, highlights, curly hair
Stephanie is the co-owner of Honeybee and the calm at its center. A graduate of Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy Atlanta, class of 2013, she has spent the years since refining two things: hair color and precision cutting. Custom color, lived-in color that grows out gracefully, blonding, vivid color and color correction are her work, along with modern haircuts and curly hair, and every one of them is planned around the woman it is for, to bring out what is already beautiful about her and to fit the life she is going home to rather than a photograph she is not.
Clients describe her the same way every time: warm, approachable, down-to-earth. Her chair is a quiet one, and people relax in it because they can tell they are being looked after. That temperament matters in color, where the difference between good and remarkable is patience, and it is why the blondes that come out of Honeybee look the way they do.
Tiff and Steph, or “The Fannies,” as Alexis fondly calls them, color and finish Kallov pieces in their own chairs, lifting a blonde to ice or building color through a dark base, and styling each piece into the shape it was named for. What happens after the cap is built

Lifting the knots
Every knot at the parting is bleached and lifted until it stops reading as a dot against the lace. Done badly this is the single most obvious tell on a wig. Done properly you stop being able to find the parting at all.

Plucking the hairline
A factory hairline is too dense and too even, because density is easy and irregularity is not. The hairline is thinned strand by strand into the uneven, softer edge a real one has.

Styling to the name
Each piece in the house has a name and a shape that belongs to it. The finishing stylist cuts and sets the hair into that shape, so the piece that arrives is the piece you saw rather than a length of hair you now have to interpret.

The last look
Nothing ships without a final inspection against the cap it was built on. Wefts checked, lace checked, shed tested, shape confirmed. If it is not right it goes back to the bench, not into the box.
